YOUNG BUSINESS OF THE YEAR (High Growth)

To enter, your business should be less than three years old by 1 October and located in Caerphilly County Borough.   Turnover in the current year should exceed or be expected to exceed £80,000.

The Award will be made to the business that has demonstrated the best new business idea and planning and shows great     promise for the future.

 

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR (With 25 Employees Or Fewer)

This category is open to all businesses in Caerphilly County Borough and will be awarded to the business that has demonstrated outstanding commitment to the reduction of its environmental impact and its energy use, particularly over the last twelve months.

 

THE  YOUNG ACHIEVER AWARD

phsgroupThis Category is open to owners, directors, managers and employees of private businesses in the County Borough and who are aged 30 or under.

The Award will be made to the individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the overall success of the business or to one or more activities of the business.

Individuals may enter on their own behalf or be nominated by another person.


WOMEN IN BUSINESS AWARD

Sponsored by GLENSIDE

The Award will be given to the person that, in the opinion of the Judges can motivate and encourage other women to recognise their achievements. The judges will be looking at achievement in its many forms, and we are interested in hearing your story of why you do what you do.

Consider any financial constraints, social disadvantages or skills gaps you may have had to overcome to name just a few. Please do put yourself forward as we are keen to overcome what the majority of us think, that “its only me” philosophy !


FINALISTS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

This category if to celebrate and commemorate the outstanding success and progression of past award winners seen within the Caerphilly Business Forum Awards. The winner will be a company or individual that has developed and progresses substantially over the past years. This will not only be measured through profit and turnover, but will also take into account numerous other issues such as product, service and workforce development, company progression and contribution to corporate social responsibility.

 

THE PREMIER AWARD

This Award is open to Winners of Categories 1 to 7 and will be made to the business or individual that, in the opinion of the judges, merits particular recogniton for their achievements or for their exceptional potential.


ELIGIBILITY

The Awards are open to businesses of all sizes and in all sectors .  You must have a base of operations within the County Borough of Caerphilly.  Businesses which are part of a group based outside the County Borough or a branch or sub-office of a business based outside the County Borough are eligible.  In addition to the standard criteria used to assess all entrants, such businesses will also be assessed in the context of their local autonomy and the financial, managerial and other support they receive from their parent company.

The Awards will not necessarily be given to the businesses that have achieved the highest growth or greatest profit, although these will clearly be among the factors taken into account.  We are also looking for achievemnent in many other areas of business.
