ELIGIBILITY

The Awards are open to businesses of all sizes and in all sectors .  You must have a base of operations within the County Borough of Caerphilly.  Businesses which iare part of a group based outside the County Borough or a branch or sub-office of a business based outside the County Borough are eligible.  In addition to the standard criteria used to assess all entrants, such businesses will also be assessed in the context of their local autonomy and the financial, managerial and other support they receive from their parent company.

The Awards will not necessarily be given to the businesses that have achieved the highest growth or greatest profit, although these will clearly be among the factors taken into account.  We are also looking for achievemnent in many other areas of business.

Dischromatics, the well known CD, DVD & Blu-ray Replication Company are delighted to welcome Gareth Thomas as Head of Department of the company’s Graphic Design and Authoring Suites.

 Gareth, a product of Rougemont Independent School, who is now thirty four years of age and lives in Newport in Gwent, is a graduate of the University of Wales where he achieved his BA Honours degree in Graphic Design. Since then he has worked for several organisations in a commercial environment displaying his flair for creative design and contributing heavily to several high profile marketing projects.

Many companies who provide CD & DVD Duplication and Printing are now effectively ‘CHEATING’ their customers! They are unfortunately only completing part of the printing process with regards to the ink-jet printing process.

Welsh National Opera has awarded a three-year contract to Caerphilly-based, Thomas, Carroll Management Services, for the provision of its Health and Safety programme.

TCMS will be implementing a full Health and Safety management programme for WNO, covering all activities at its Wales Millennium Centre base and on tour.

Richard Pask, Director, said: ‘We are hugely excited that WNO has entrusted us with its Health & Safety needs... and look forward to working closely with the company’s team to implement a professional management system to accommodate a staff of over 250 people, carrying out over 120 performances a year, to over 140,000 spectators around the world.’

Bearmach, the world’s largest distributor of Land Rover parts and accessories, has just announced its appointment as an authorised European distributor for Jaguar parts.
The company, based in Caerphilly, have been in operation for over fifty years, building their business and reputation on quality, customer service and availability, attributes they intend to extend into Jaguar parts sales.
Managing Director, Peter Whitehouse, said: ‘A major investment is to be made, to invest in stock, with over 67,000 Jaguar Parts being made available to us. The Jaguar brand has much synergy with Land Rover and will complement our existing business.’
