A Welsh cancer charity will receive a cash injection of almost £3,500 – thanks to a weekend of events organised by the Caerphilly Business Forum and the members of its Working Women network.

Proceeds from the Caerphilly Business Forum’s annual Awards ceremony and the Forum’s sell-out fashion and beauty event, All About Eve, raised a combined £3,500 for Cancer Research Wales.

Held at The Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel and Spa, the two events raised the money for the charity by holding an auction at the Awards ceremony and by donating all proceeds from ticket sales at the fashion and beauty event.

Caerphilly Business Forum events officer Jo Braham said the events had once again been a huge success, made all the more worthwhile by the amount raised for Cancer Research Wales,  the Mayor of Caerphilly’s nominated charity for the year.

“The weekend’s events were a great success and were once again the highlight for businesses in the County Borough. We are very happy to donate the proceeds from the weekend to the Mayor’s,” said Jo.

“Cancer Research Wales has for a long time been very active within the area for their work researching the disease and treatments for it and has recently opened a shop in Caerphilly town centre, making its presence in the area greater than ever.”
The proceeds will be formally handed to the Mayor early in the New Year

Affinity Web Solutions Ltd has changed it's company name today to Amity Web Solutions Ltd.

The move was primarily to avoid confusion with another company so ensures Amity Web Solutions continue to stand above competition and also gave them an opportunity to re-brand the website and logo with a new and improved image.
