Working Women is a supportive and dynamic network group for women in business (employers and employees) and those thinking of starting in business.

To mark International Women's Day (which is on March 8) we have a special guest, LYNFA PHILLIPs, Welsh Woman Of The Year. 2005.  After 42 years in the NHS and civil service, no one was more surprised than she when, in 1996 she inherited a business, Import Agencies, from a Japanese friend.  Familiar with Japanese culture but knowing absolutely nothing about the business (and teetotal to boot) she was faced with either selling the business or making a go of it.  Never one to shirk a challenge, she bit the bullet and armed with a home office and a fax machine, now shifts huge quantities of beer and saki from Japan, supplying the Embassies in London and Dublin, Japan Airlines and several restuarants and Japanese businesses.
