South Wales based accountancy firm, Hayvenhursts Limited raised £1,000 for its nominated charity Velindre Cancer Centre /The Leading Lights Appeal at its annual Golf day that took place at St Mellons Golf Club, Cardiff (26th July).
Over many years Velindre Cancer Centre has developed a reputation for the excellence of its care and support for patients and families undergoing the trauma of dealing with cancer.
Gareth Williams, Partner jointly hosted the Golf Day with Philip Felman, Senior Partner who said, “At Hayvenhursts, we pride themselves on being a welsh company who aim to give back where we can to the local community. We chose to support The Leading Lights Appeal because it is Velindre Cancer Centre’s aim that all patients have access to a named specialist nurse.”
“Being diagnosed and dealing with the effects of cancer can be a traumatic time for both patient and families and we were very grateful to two specialist nurses, Julia Kneller and Lynne Rich, from Velindre Cancer Centre who popped along to our Golf Day in their own personal time to give us a first-hand account about the work they do on a daily basis.”
Gareth Williams, Partner who hosted the Golf Day for its eighth year presented the prizes to the winning team of 4 (stable ford competition), Tony Casey, David Birt, Billy and Phillip Stephens.
