Well I must say things have been extremely busy here at the Forum, with all the excitement leading up our 10th Anniversary Caerphilly Business Forum Awards in November, busy Business Breakfasts and generally keeping up to date with members of the forum, it appears that along the way I have forgotten to introduce myself!
Having been a member of the forum on behalf of my previous employer, Bryn Meadows Golf, Hotel & Spa for many years, there are many faces I recognise at events and a fair few new ones in the mix. What is really great to see is that people tend to form a long lasting relationship with the forum, something I believe is incredibly important for our sustainability and future as the voice of local business. I am thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work as the Marketing & Events Officer of the forum, particularly working with the Board Members who are hugely dedicated to the forum and its success going forward. It’s an exciting place to be.
But for me, the most exciting part is getting to meet our members and I am most certainly looking forward to recruiting new members to the forum in the coming year. After all, the forum is about the members. Without them, we would not exist and we do what we do because of them.
Speaking from experience, I gained so much from being a member of the forum, creating new business leads, developing new contacts and generating bookings - some of which came a year down the line.
There is so much to be gained from being a forum member and my aim is to ensure that each of our members are maximising the benefits and services that we offer. We are much more than just a networking organisation, we offer exclusive online benefits to all our members, including our Member Mailing Service, Business Directory, Member Spotlight and Member’s New & Events Sections, plus our prestigious Annual Awards event.
